Social change in regular life

Social Change is integral to our life. It is as important as activities that enrich us -- poetry, art, cooking..or anything that you feel enriches you.

And yes, the reward is there is a shift that happens within you. Your spotlight moves away from you and is on the condition of the people around who may be in a situation due to circumstances and not their choice.

We are lucky if we have a peaceful atmosphere at home and have all our senses active. And that's sufficient to share the love in our heart with others.

Why this post on all this?
It is so heartwarming to see when people want to spare their time in giving to people, in their regular life.

You’ll be surprised at what a group of people can do when given a situation that might enable social change.

And what situations are these?
1. Devnar school for the blind - volunteering opportunity
2. Bansa Rural Library - volunteering opportunity

For Devnar, there's a requirement of volunteers to teach and when shared in the Lampshade Writers community, many have reached out to spare their time.

For Bansa, at Lampshade Writers, we take care of the librarian's fee and some have volunteered to share the expense of the monthly fee (for a month atleast).

I have volunteered for a long time in various capacties and I know what it can do to a person. It enabled me to think beyond me and focus on the light within me and my purpose. The work is endless and the journey is beautiful everyday. But sharing a message on volunteering and people messaging to do it on their own is an inexplicable feeling or wait.. i can, "it is as heartwarming as writing a poem.." -- that butterflies in the stomach and that sigh when a piece is complete.

Signing off with this quote by Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
